I personally care about the shortcuts because I found myself working
faster when the keycombos or key short cuts are similar in all the
programs I use.
Hence I would rather have my keycombos untouched. If some module is going
to introduce a new key because the developer of that module happens to
like Ctrl-a.
I think there should be somekind of check in the githooks that would
prevent a duplicate.
