Missed the page up/down (and that is in the manual!).
That helps some. Concern with 20K images is not the database, it is the
scrolling. 

But this could be a factor of my thinking from LightRoom. I am used to
effectively a single filmroll.

never on win 10, but <page-up> and <page-down> work 

and 20k is not a problem, I am over 95k and have seen posts saying over
100k.
