I'm experiencing some succes with the
suggestion of Remco using the retouch tool,
which can be improved by practice. It's quite
easy and gives me reasonably good results.

Your suggestion has the advantage, that I don't
need a source polygon, but I find masks
somewhat confusing, specially when combining
parametric and drawn, or when trying to use
several at the same time. Using parametric
masks, there are so many tiny sliders which I
find difficult to position. Drawn masks for
smaller scale corrections are more likely to
fall within my range of competence. But anyway,
that's the (in)famous learn curve for anything
we try to master, isn't it?

Thanks
