Hi Victor,

Simple a dt version is <major>.<minor>.<patch>

A final version has an even number for <minor>. A development version
has an odd <minor> number. That is:

2.6.2 (is a patch-set final release)
2.6.3 (is a patch-set final release, released just after 2.6.2)
3.0.0 (is a final major release)
3.1.0 (is a dev release which will lead to the final release 3.2)
3.2.0 (is a final release)
3.0.1 (is a patch-set final release)

Hope this clarifies the numbering !
