Assuming that you are indeed on windows, and if you haven't already found
out, the database files are found in:

C:\Users\"your username"\AppData\Local\darktable

The two *.db files need to be renamed if you are to do a totally clean
reinstall as these retain all the information about imported images and you
development of them, as well as info on what modules to apply
automatically

The cached thumbnails, and log files if you ever run in debug mode are
found at:

C:\Users\"your
username"\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\InetCache\darktable

the InetCache folder is a system folder and may not be visible by default
on your system.
