Please be aware that a non-installed monitor profile generally will not lead to a correct display. Reason is that a monitor profile contains calibration data that need to be loaded into your graphics card. This is a system task. Only if this has been done, can darktable do the remaining corrections. AFAIK there is not yet a standard for Linux boxes on how a monitor profile is installed system-wide. There are different software solutions for that. Dispcalgui at least understands a few of them but might fail, which is difficult to detect. Maybe Pascal can give a recommendation, what to use.
