| One thing I used frequently in Bibble/AfterShock was a key combination
| that opened a circular or rectangular area on the screen at an
| adjustable resolution defaulting to 1:1 at the mouse pointer which I
| used to check subject focus. Darktable provides <alt><{1,2,3}> which
| works quite well but display is locked/positioned at *center* of crop.
What I use as a substitute in darktable is the middle mouse button:
click once on a spot to jump there at 100%, click twice to jump to 200%,
click a third time and you're back to normal. Darktable generally does
this pretty blindingly fast (on my hardware) so it's not a big deal that
this zooms the entire display instead of an area.
PS: this is in the current git tip. I don't know if it's in a released
version.
