Hi, for some days I have been trying to duplicate that black and white conversion method in darktable. Internet resources are plenty on descriptions based on photoshop. I think that a procedure shown below does the work:
1. completely desaturate using a module like color correction 2. create a duplicated instance of the module just used in #1 (it must go after in the pixelpipeline) 3. in instance #2 set blend mode to multiply 4. set parametric blend mode 5. invert polarity of the 'input' parametric slider However, what I have found is that the result of the above procedure is very very close to darktable's monochrome module with just default parameters. I'm puzzled by the so close results. Just wondering why the result are so similar. Would any body make a guess?
