tried w/25, can try with most any number.

no xmp files, but reusing images in a new directory.

Should not be the case here.

Do you want to specify a particular condition and me test?  I have images
from my D3 that have never been in darktable, and I am presently
processing yesterday's Indiana State High School Soccer Finals.
