In my opinion the manual is aiming to give a starting point for people who are familiar with image editing software but doesn't know darktable. Your guide is more detailed and should be read by people who doesn't know how an image editing software work.
You guide is an excellent addition to the manual but the problem is your contribution is lost in a ocean of translations; guides etc. By contributing to the translation of the manual (for example) trough git your contribution is distributed with darktable and is easy to update with new versions. Also, other people can proof-read your translations and correct them. Maybe you could start helping me to translate the French manual !
