Hi all,

I have a hard time getting the profiled denoise function to work. I have a Pentax K100d Super which is very similar to the K100d whose noise has been already profiled. Since DT reported that no matching profile could be found, I tried to to make a copy of the K100d noise profile with the "Super" added.

However, I was unable to find any noise profiles at all.

Looking at the tools/noise/subr.sh script on GitHub, it appears that the denoise profiles are normally stored in the presets table of the library.db database.

Even when I purged my darktable installation, removed the entire directory ~/.config/darktable, and re-installed darktable, the newly generated library.db did not have any denoise profiles in it. ('SELECT * FROM presets WHERE presets.operation = " denoiseprofile";' returned 0 records.)

What am I doing wrong? I am using the binary distribution. Do I need to compile DT myself to be able to access the denoise profiles? This is on Ubuntu 13.10, 64-bit, Darktable 1.4 installed from the PPA (ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-release).

Thanks,

Daniel
