Thanks for the helpful answers. I must admit some of it is a bit over my
non-coding head (the German wasn’t the problem). For now I’ve settled on batch
processing the Fuji X-E1 RAWs with Raw Photo Processor to make TIFFs, or simply
using the out-of-camera JPEGs. It’s doable, at least for producing online
imagery. Maybe at a later point in time I’ll try the scripts and stuff.

Well, it is not that bad. The size of a X-E2 raw is approximately 34MB.
The compressed tiff requires approximately 75MB. So you actually need 3
times the size of the raw file. This is still painful, but for me it is
reasonable. I simply try to be less lazy and delete some more images
that are not worth be kept. Moreover, once the tiffs are generated, you
can store the raw files in a zip archive, which is 0.75 times the size
of the uncompressed raw files (fuji does not compress the raws).
Investing the disk space is the price I pay to use a great camera with
great lenses and and still take advantage of my favorite image
processing software. For me, it is a good deal :D
