I'm having a similar problem trying to use gmail. I have gnome-gmail
installed (When I try that command I see: "gnome-gmail.desktop"), but
whenever I try to export to email, I get a response from google that they
have disallowed an attempt to sign in by an app. One suggestion is this
page:

Is darktable a less secure app?
