On openSUSE-Factory and before on 12.3/13.1 all I did was set the export
target to "send as email" and darktable uses my mutt which is set as the
"system" email.  I don't know how to set that on gnome based wm's, but
afaict, all is required is to provide a "system standard configured" email
client.

Funny that other gnome related wm users have not commented about problems
besides the two or three recent.
