Hi Dave

Thanks, I should have probably made it clearer that I was using the UNSTABLE version from the unstable ppa. I can't go back to 1.4.2-1build2 because of the database changes.

Cheers
Rob

Hi
If you start using the git version you cannot safely go back to stable later.

Having said that, I have been using the git version for over a year, maybe even two years now with very rare problems. It's very stable.

In order to us the git version the simplest thing is to do a "sudo apt-get build-dep darktable" first.

Regarding the darktable being available in Ubuntu: I'm using 14.10 Utopic and darktable is available, version 1.4.2-1build2. Do you have all your repositories enabled?

Perhaps it's in Universe?

I recommend doing "sudo apt-get install -f" before you try anything else.

Good luck.

Hi All

I have been using Darktable from the unstable PPA and a week ago updated
my system from Trusty to Utopic. Of course the ppa stopped working but
no problems there (happy to wait for it to be updated). However the
upgrade went strange and long story short I had to do a fresh install.
Now I have no Darktable!

Cannot install from the ppa as it isn't supporting Utopic yet. Changed
sources file for Darktable back to Trusty but apparently 2 dependencies
are missing (libcolord1 and libopenjpeg2) and have been replaced in
Utopic by something else (colord and libopenjpeg5).

Does anyone have any suggestions to get me back and processing RAW
files? Can I use the GIT version until the PPA is updated then safely go
back to the PPA?

Help!!

Rob
