The luminosity IS linear, at least in case of graduated density. Reason: The module position in the pipeline is before "base curve". Therefore, it operates on linear sensor data, the same applies to the parametric mask.
IMHO it would be nice to be able to toggle the parametric sliders between linear and logarithmic.
