To persist grouping information, you might assign one or multiple tags to create some unique reference instead.
That's the way I started to handle this: Building up a tag hierarchie:
Image - Orientation - Portrait/Landscape*Image - Series - Focus**/HDR/Panorama* => this is meant for identify grouped images
Image - Aspect Ratio - .... and so on to describe additional properties of images or groups. regards -Bernhard-
