Hi everybody,
Following my yesterday question about crop Ratio, and thanks to your
answers, I just publish a new tutorial on my blog.
It's about publishing photos on social networks and crop them to the
good dimensions for cover pictures.
It's in french (my mother tongue), and it's here :
https://aventurereflex.wordpress.com/2015/06/01/tutoriel-darktable-redimensionner-sa-photo-pour-les-reseaux-sociaux-et-internet/
Good job! I knew the trick (typing directly colon-separated numbers in
aspect ratio box) but only long after I started to use darktable. This
tutorial is useful and furthermore you take care of specifying the
actual resolution needed by the various social networks.
I see that you have written a dozen tutorials. I learned some details
while reading them. Congratulations for making darktable more useful.
It would be even better if you attached a license to your tutorials
(e.g. a Creative Commons by share-alike). That would make it safe for
others to translate your tutorials into other languages, expanding the
reach of your work (and fame ;-) along with value for darktable and its
users.
Cheers,
