Adding a new camera is relatively quick, especially if it's very close to an existing one. If you are a bit familiar with the command-line, my advice would be: as soon as you receive your camera, file a bug and attach raw samples (and upload to rawsamples.ch). Once support is added, compile the version with support for your camera.
