I don't have time to further add new features to the module, but would be willing to take over maintainance (I am currently using the module in several projects, so I have an incentive to keep it up to date). My cpan ID is CEESHEK. The only concern would be that I am not currently familiar with the internals of DateTime, as I am only a user at this point.
