Hi Tom, The document Davor sent out has now been posted on our external Davinci wiki: http://wiki.davincidsp.com/index.php?title=Changing_the_DVEVM_memory_map
We will be updating this site shortly with extra information on how to design your memory map. So keep checking it and you will be pleasantly surprised one of these days. :) Regarding your 2nd question, this is because the DDR segment placement in CFG_Davinci.txt is overridden by the command line to 'insmod' the dsplinkk.ko kernel module. Typically this is done in a file called loadmodules.sh in the DVEVM demos. If you inspect the line that 'insmods' the kernel module you will see that it specifies the base address and length of the DDR segment that corresponds to what is shown in your tcf file. My one point of confusion was (and is) the same as what was described on this posting to the list, to which I never saw any response: <http://linux.omap.com/pipermail/davinci-linux-open-source/2007-April/00 3076.html> Regards, Tom -- /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign | \ / | Email to user 'CTZ001' X Against HTML | at 'email.mot.com' / \ in e-mail & news | _______________________________________________ Davinci-linux-open-source mailing list [email protected] http://linux.davincidsp.com/mailman/listinfo/davinci-linux-open-source
