We do have a GIT kernel based FBDEV driver. I have done some basic testing and
it works on DM355, DM365 and DM644x.

I believe it will soon be added to

http://arago-project.org/git/people/?p=sneha/linux-davinci-staging.git;a=summary

After that you can clone the above repository.

I have already ported the V4l2 driver as well but not tested it yet.
WE hope to have the video drivers ready in the next couple of weeks.
All patches will be available from the above link.

The video port will be an up port of video drivers from LSP 2.xx releases.

Submitting patches upstream will also be done soon.

Thanks,
Sandeep

Subject: DM644X vpbe subdevices

Hi all,

Im developing neuros osd2 kernel port, everything seems to work ok but
the video part. This device has a ths8200 (component), ths7313
(composite) and sil9034 (hdmi) output chips and the current davincifb
doesnt support this kind of scheme without refactoring most of the
code. A v4l2 device is more suitable for this situation.

TI's LSP already has support for V4l2 devices on the video planes, is
there any chance to have support for it on main kernel? Is someone
working on that?

Regards
