Hi, Even after this, the encoder will not be written to sub device interface, but to TI internal vid_encoder_if.h interface. We have plan to submit these drivers to mainline, but at this time we still don't know if it will be submitted ASIS
or ported to v4l2 sub device framework and then submitted or ported to Display Sub System (DSS) which is a framework available on OMAP3 platforms. In the Linux plumbers conference (Sept. 23-26), we plan to discuss this with v4l2 sub system owner and decide accordingly. So please stay tuned... We will update the status on this mailing list.
