While I might not agree with some of the actual ideas pushed out (and will clearly voice my opinion if that is so), I *do* appreciate having the mix of WG chairs - having some that step back and watch, and also having some that do push for process on topics that they find important. Not all WGs are equal. In address policy, the chair role must be more neutral regarding the actual topics discussed, but still can and should moderate, steer, and if needed, stir the discussions. I see DB as a more technical forum, where NWIs can be discussed on technical merits - so having expert knowledge support this process is, in my opinion, valuable. (Also, this is all on a public and open mailing list, so everybody is free to stand up at all times and say "Denis, this is not what I want").
