I missed the first part of the discussion so sorry for asking an maybe allways discussed issue, but don't you do the same catalog entrys at the linux system like on the NT system? catalog tcpip node gateway remote gateway server 50000 catalog db db2dsnb as db2dsnb at node gateway terminate should be enough? As I understood you want to connect the mainframe database from your linux box over the gateway installed on the aix linux ------> aix ----------> mvs (client) (gateway) (DB2 subsystem) So in this case the aix looks like the database server for your linux box.
