Hello List,

We are running on Windows 2000, DB2 UDB version 7.2 fixpack 6. This
morning we had to reboot our server when we started getting some db2
mon_heap errors and couldn't stop and start db2. This has been a problem
before and been resolved in the past by stopping and starting the server.
This time however, when the server came up, it started going through logs
at an incredible rate (about 7 logs/minute at 2 meg per log). This is not
a server that has a high number of transactions run against it. This was
not noticed until the disk on the server was full about an hour and a half
later. We deleted some old logs to clear out some disk space. Once we did
this, the logging stopped and there has been no problems reported from
users since then. I would normally investigate the programmers that deal
on this server regarding some batch jobs that they had run, but the timing
and the fact that it started immediately after the server was rebooted
leads me to think it was not them. Has any one since this type of
behavior? Just trying to get a handle on this before it happens again.

Thanks,
Tim Traxson
