[DB2EUG] DB2 beginner

Dear all, This is my day 1 in the DB2 family. I may require lot of help from u guys. Currently I'm trying to install DB2 V8.1 on Linux RedHat 7.2. But I'm running into problems. Can anybody please send me a step by step installation procedure. Going thro' the installation documents provided by IBM is quite lengthy. Though I could install DB2 using setup utility. I'hv problems connecting to it. Like I can't run db2ic, it gives error like connection refused by the server etc.   Thanks and regards   Sunil
