Yes, but I can imagine it can probably be simulated with OLE::Lite or
similar cross platform modules, that allow OLE type access on non win32
platform, but then again why??

As "ADO" stands for "ActiveX Data Objects", I would say this counts for
ADO also.

If it helps, you can think of ADO as a layer of gloss over ODBC,
though in fact it's built on Microsoft's OLE DB API.
I'd say it's a mistake even trying to install DBD::ADO on Linux.
