DBI and DBD

Tim/All,

We have been using perl at Bristol-Myers Squibb for quite a while
now.
I had a small concern, We have recently moved to Oracle 8i and
were facing some dead lock problems. We thought it might be DBi
or DBD . So we up graded to DBI version 1.18 .
--Do you recommend to Upgrade the DBD version also to 1.08 (from
the present version 1.03) ?
Or it will work fine with either combination. Please let me know
at your earliest.
