I'm an Oracle DBA/Developer, with a strong background in C/C++, and I've used Rogue Wave for numerous data loading/scrubbing projects, as well as Perl/DBI.
My opinion: nothing beats Perl with DBI! I use it standalone, and in conjunction with Oracle's SQL*Loader. I'll never go back to coding C++ for data manipulation again. -Joe --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > This is somewhat off topic, but I can't think of a better group to > get > advice from on this question: > > Our company has a lot of extracts written in C++ against Oracle > (gcc > compiler on Solaris) using a homegrown DBI written by someone who > no longer > works for us.
