I also do not think it is a bug. I suspect id10t syndrome. As proof. I have uninstalled DBI and DBD-Pg (originally downloaded with cpan) to reinstall as rpm.

Uh, so, does the rpm'd DBD::Pg work for you?

Fortunately, I enjoy running around in circles. The only rpm I could find for DBD-Pg was version 0.73-1. It requires libpq.so.1 which I of course do not seem to have.

This is going to be an educational experience filled with 'opportunities.'

Back at the original problem, did it seem to you the 'line 6' error ahould have been in the Makefile?
