I'm slightly cross posting because I have similiar question on newsgroup but no response (yet). Wondered if you can entertain my ques. I understand there is support for comma tab and pipe delimited files. Let'say I have '###' as field delimiter in a flat text file. Can I "inform" the DBI and use this? I believe so - never tried this, but I have used '||' as a delimiter before, so I am assuming it will work with DBD::CSV. Can the perl DBI interface with an XML tagged file? As it could with say a comma delimited file? You might use XML::XPath Thanks for helping w/these basics. ----------------- Ron Reidy Senior DBA Array BioPharma, Inc. -- http://www.fastmail.fm - A fast, anti-spam email service.
