I made patches for 1.0 to bring it up to date, were those ever applied to the cvs? If not, you can find them on dbmail.adiis.net. If you're truly interested in having it work, I'll be more than happy to update them to the current cvs. The ones that were spun for 1.0 seem functional to me, I can specify either a mysql or postgres build and it will find the libraries and build it for me.
