Auto-reply as build into dbmail appears to be broken. A patch to fix
this was posted last week.
Also, last week I've posted a HOWTO for setting up autoreplies with
dbmail using procmail.

still trying to get the auto_replies to work...
i found this in the maillog:
Aug 10 14:38:29 web2 dbmail/smtp[1583]: send_reply(): found sendmail
command to be [/usr/sbin/sendmail]
Aug 10 14:38:29 web2 dbmail/smtp[1583]: send_reply(): found SUBJECT
[TESTING]
Aug 10 14:38:29 web2 dbmail/smtp[1583]: send_reply(): found FROM
["Daniel Bryant" < <mailto:>>]
Aug 10 14:38:29 web2 dbmail/smtp[1583]: send_reply(): header fields
scanned; opening pipe to sendmail
Aug 10 14:38:29 web2 dbmail/smtp[1583]: send_reply(): sending data
Aug 10 14:38:29 web2 dbmail/smtp[1583]: send_reply(): pipe closed
Aug 10 14:38:29 web2 dbmail/smtp[1583]: send_reply(): reply could not be
sent: sendmail error
this is strange as my dbmail+postfix setup works perfectly in every
other way. it delivers mail flawlessly to local and remote recipients.
any light anyone can shed on this woudl be most appreciated. :D
cheers,
Dan.
