Hello,

We have a system running where we use a multidrop pop3 box for [EMAIL PROTECTED]

We are currently running dbmail-smtp 1.0rc3 as our MDA for techmail with the option "-n To"

If we run fetchmail to get the email out of the pop3 box it is most of the time running fine.

Here comes the catch:

Fetchmail returns an error, most of the times the SIGPIPE error, if the To: address in the header of the email is not a user known to dbmail. The "delivered to [EMAIL PROTECTED] za for [EMAIL PROTECTED]" mentions the right address, but this address doesn't show in the actual To: address. This is either the senders address, or is "undisclosed recipients"

If such an email is passed on to dbmail-smtp by fetchmail, fetchmail bums out.

If we manualy change the to address in the header to the actual address recovered from the "for" address, the mail is passed correctly by fetchmail.

Is this problem a dbmail problem, and if so, can we use the option "-n for" to deliver messages to the actual users address, or do we have to re-configure postfix or fetchmail.

Any idea what we should do to prevent this from happening?

Thanks,

Marcel Berteler
