I ran into the same lack of information with Sendmail configuration, too. You need to put the attached file in your sendmail-cf/mailer directory. I can't remember who originally wrote this mailer definition (someone named Lau, I think) or I would give proper credit to the original author.
You will also have to fill in your mailertable, unless you use DBMail as a replacement for the local mailer.
