Kaspar,

your postfix must be running in some kind of restricted mode. Are you on
selinux, using an ACL enabled filesystem, or something like that??

Try replacing your setup in master.cf with something like:

dbmail-smtp     unix    -       n       n       -       -       pipe
   flags= user=dbmail argv=/usr/local/bin/testdbmail
        -d ${recipient} -r ${sender}

where /usr/local/bin/testdbmail contains:

--<cut>--
#!/bin/sh

LOG=/tmp/testdbmail.log.$$

echo "running [$0 [EMAIL PROTECTED]" > $LOG
echo "---<message>---" >> $LOG
cat >> $LOG

--</cut>--

You can also try adding to main.cf:

debug_peer_level = 2
debug_peer_list = 127.0.0.0/8 192.38.9.147/32 80.63.23.30/32

and see if postfix outputs more detailed logs.
