You might be called in to explain why you didn't implement the bad
idea "correctly" when the shit inevitably hits the fan!

Assuming you are referring to the use of strong passwords as a 'bad idea'... (?)

Implementing the bad idea that management forced on you, and then
management blaming you when the bad idea causes huge trouble, on the
excuse that the idea wasn't bad, you just did a bad job implementing it.

You still haven't defined precisely what it is that you think is a 'bad idea'...

Regardless - I don't work for people who play the blame game. I lay things on the line. I always make my objections IN WRITING if being forced to do something that I know is a major security risk - or simply refuse to do it (accepting the consequences) if I feel strongly enough about it.

It really isn't that complicated or difficult - unless you are incompetent, incapable of expressing yourself, or afraid for your job if you speak your mind.
