Other thing paul,
For clients that issue a bad IDLE command in a wrong time like:

---
write(13, "8j6j BAD IDLE command received i"..., 49) = 49
poll([{fd=10, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}], 1, 0) = 0
write(10, "\1\0\0\0\16", 5) = 5
read(10, "\7\0\0\1\0\0\0\2\0\0\0", 16384) = 11
alarm(400) = 0
read(12, "yve8 IDLE\r\n", 1024) = 11
alarm(0) = 400
---

(I have some clients that does this, I belive are the msoutlook one's)

Couldn't dbmail just close the connection when this happens, or that is not
RFC (or RCF? I never remember that) compliant?
Is that, now I played a bit with strace, and my dbmail-imapd processes are
almost all of them just doing that.
Maybe someone else who uses imap has the same no?

Please attach a strace to see what it's doing. Anything in the errorlogs?
