Hi,

Since updating to 3.1.12 we've seg faults at all like we saw in 3.1.10 which is
a good sign :) However, dbmail-pop3d keeps - locking up? I think that's
perhaps the best way to describe it. We have quite a busy server but suddenly
from nowhere pop3d stops accepting connections for about 10 minutes and then
comes back again. If you telnet to the port at the time it just immediately
drops:-

telnet localhost 110
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.

If left for 10 minutes it comes back again. We're running this on Freebsd 9.2
and appreciate any input on it. I'm hoping it's just a tweak or something.
I'm running with syslog level 63 and can't see any errors at all that are
relevant.

regards,

James Greig

I've updated to 3.1.12 now and it has fixed the html email issues. I imagine
it's gmime rather than a dbmail issue. Running imap under gdb just incase.

If 3.1.12 is *not* stable, I would very very much like to know about it,
especially if you can include a backtrace!

No need to install into production server

cd dbmail-3.1.12/; configure and make
shutdown production service
gdb src/dbmail-imapd
(gdb) run -D
...... keep it running until it crashes
...... crash!
(gdb) bt

cut-n-paste and email!

restart production service and go back to business as usual.
