Hello,

I have a little wierdness with the GridGenerator::hyper_ball ();
function (in 2d).

I start by replacing:
  GridGenerator::hyper_cube (triangulation);

with
  const Point<2> center (0,0);
  const double outer_radius = 1.0;
  GridGenerator::hyper_ball (triangulation,
                             center, outer_radius);
  static const HyperBallBoundary<dim> boundary;
  triangulation.set_boundary (0, boundary);
in step-1; which conforms to default values anyways.

Changing this
  const double outer_radius = 10.0;
(or to any other number \neq 1) gives me this suprising error:

----------------------------------------------------
Exception on processing:
--------------------------------------------------------
An error occurred in line <12742> of file <source/grid/tria.cc> in
function void dealii::Triangulation<dim,
spacedim>::execute_coarsening_and_refinement() [with int dim = 2, int
spacedim>spacedim = 2] The violated condition was:
    cells_with_distorted_children.distorted_cells.size() == 0
The name and call sequence of the exception was:
    cells_with_distorted_children
Additional Information:
(none)
--------------------------------------------------------

Aborting!
----------------------------------------------------

I am a bit lost as to why this happens... any ideas please? It looks
like I am probably missing something rather obvious.

Note: Things appear to work fine if I switch HyperBallBoundary with
HyperShellBoundary with an inner_radius = 0...

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Best,
        Toby
