Ajith,
that's a rather old version of deal.II - more than 5 years. Why would you want
so old a version of deal.II?
But in general, what you can do is open the VM, open a browser in it, download
whatever deal.II version you want from
https://github.com/dealii/dealii/releases
and install it in the VM following the installation instructions on the
website. A VM is, in this regard, really no different from any other machine
on which you want to install deal.II.
