CONNECTICUT: Ross' father in court Monday to try and stop execution One of three court hearings on the upcoming execution of Michael Ross is expected to take place Monday. The convicted serial killer is scheduled to die by lethal injection on January 26. On Monday, his father will be in court to try and stop the execution. Daniel Ross and his son's former public defenders filed separate motions in Rockville Superior Court for an emergency stay of the execution. Among the claims is that Connecticut's death penalty is unconstitutionally discriminatory and biased, and the death penalty procedure could inflict severe pain and trauma on Ross. (source: wfsb.com)
