RWANDA:

Rwandan facing death penalty for killing Scottish tourist

A Rwandan rebel who killed a Scottish tourist and 8 others could be facing
the death penalty for their murders.

27-year-old Steven Roberts from Edinburgh was among a party of tourists
who were abducted and attacked with clubs and machetes in Uganda in 1999.

Earlier this week Jean Paul Bizimana was convicted by a judge in the
country's capital, Kampala. The 31-year-old's lawyer said they will appeal
the conviction.
