While interesting, this is not what the wiki asks for information. https://wiki.debian.org/accessibility#Debian_installer_accessibility mentions amixer -c 0 scontrols amixer -c 1 scontrols cat /proc/asound/cards echo /sys/class/sound/card*/id cat /sys/class/sound/card*/id cat /var/run/espeakup.card amixer -c 0 scontents amixer -c 1 scontents to be able to know about what is happening with the sound boards. I'm afraid your board might just be requiring a firmware, which the debian installer currently cannot load during installation, only in the installed system. When you install debian on this system with the non-firmware image, do you get audio in the installed system? (in order to determine whether it's indeed the presence of the non-free firmwares that make your sound board work or not) Samuel
