Hello again, Had to fix a few things with the DS15: a suspected failing power supply turned out to be the front panel power-on button's wires having a flimsy connection (probably due to front access storage cage removal/installation). Also had to clone my Debian Alpha installation since the hard drive was shutting down after a while of use -smartctl reported it to be OK, but it also reported way too many gigabytes processed during its lifetime. The machine is now running kernel 5.8.1.
My only line on sources.list is; deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian-ports sid main I can't install vlc, kodi, cinnamon and several other packages. I can somehow force firefox to install and startup if I link the newer libs with the ones firefox searches for while starting up, but then everytime I try to update with apt I get the reminder that firefox is not properly installed and can't upgrade anything else. Makes me wonder if I can use a better card (like the short profile Radeon HD8570) mounted on a PCI-PCIe bridge adapter card, that way the amdgpu driver could be used instead of the radeon driver.
