I have filed a bug report already, Bug#783287. My issue is that I can not get to a GRUB menu from an EFI shell prompt.
I used "dd if=debian-mini.iso of=/dev/sdc bs=4M" to copy mini.iso to usb pendrive, went to UEFI shell, launched "fs5:\efi\boot\bootaa64.efi" and landed in grub with "install" option.
