Dear friends at Debian, Thank you for your fine linux distribution. I've been using it for many years, and have often recommended it to friends, but I may abandon it, and stop recommending it to anyone.
I'm an M.I.T. graduate, and a professional computer programmer. I've been working with linux systems since their earliest days. Over the years, I've used many linux distributions. Debian 13 is installed on my computer, from which I'm emailing you. There are two problems: first, on www.debian.org/contact <http://www.debian.org/contact>, there is not a suitable email address to which I should send this email. I'm sending it to [email protected], with the hope that they'll forward it to the right people within your organization. Second, I must get rid of systemd . If I can't figure out how to do this, I'll abandon Debian. If you must have vomitous systemd in your distribution, I suggest that you make it clear how users can get rid of it. Do NOT email me and explain why I should enjoy having systemd. systemd is unacceptable. I find a post that says that 'apt install systemd-' uninstalls systemd on Debian. This doesn't work. If someone would like to email me, and tell me how I can disinfect my Debian system from systemd, I'd appreciate that greatly. I would, by the way, be pleased to work with you to help you to disinfect your distribution from systemd. If, within ten days, I don't have a solution, I will move to a linux distribution without systemd, and, henceforth, I willrecommend, to anyone who asks me, that Debian be avoided. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Lyman Opie [email protected]
