Dear friends at Debian,

I'm not your friend..

Thank you for your fine linux distribution.  I've been using it for
many years, and have often recommended it to friends, but I may
abandon it, and stop recommending it to anyone.

Why is that now an issue then!

There are two problems: first, on www.debian.org/contact
<http://www.debian.org/contact>, there is not
a suitable email address to which I should send this email.  I'm
sending it to [email protected], with the hope that they'll
forward it to the right people within your organization.

They are multiple mailing lists, the www mailing list looks reasonable.

Second, I must get rid of systemd .  If I can't figure out how to
do this, I'll abandon Debian.  If you must have vomitous systemd
in your distribution, I suggest that you make it clear how users
can get rid of it.

They are some derivative like: https://www.devuan.org/

Do NOT email me and explain why I should enjoy having systemd.
systemd is unacceptable.

Why would we press you to do anything.

I find a post that says that 'apt install systemd-' uninstalls
systemd on Debian.  This doesn't work.

We have no mention of that post nor removing the systemd package is likely enough.
I would assume that you would want an other start up mechanism.

If someone would like to email me, and tell me how I can
disinfect my Debian system from systemd, I'd appreciate that
greatly.

Which e-mail should we use, the one in your signature or the one you are sending this e-mail from.

I would, by the way, be pleased to work with you to help you to
disinfect your distribution from systemd.

Feel free to do it.

If, within ten days, I don't have a solution, I will move to a linux
distribution without systemd, and, henceforth, I willrecommend, to anyone who
asks me, that Debian be avoided.

I would hope that PPLs are still able to think on their own and not do what they are toald!

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Thank you for using a search engine or that AI thing to search for what you are looking for!
