Part or most of the way through the base install (after tasksel was configured), the d-i step menu popped up (the progress dialog from the base system install is visible behind the menu). If I select "Install GRUB boot loader" or "Install base system" it goes to the "install base system" step and complains that the target is unclean. proceeding from there despite the warning results in a "base system install error" because /target/usr/bin/awk already exists. --------------------------------------- Received: (at 237169-close) by bugs.debian.org; 14 Mar 2004 01:08:45 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Mar 13 17:08:45 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1B2K7R-0007Pb-00; Sat, 13 Mar 2004 17:08:45 -0800 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1B2K19-0001Xr-00; Sat, 13 Mar 2004 20:02:15 -0500 From: Joey Hess <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.45 $ Subject: Bug#237169: fixed in base-installer 0.059 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sat, 13 Mar 2004 20:02:15 -0500 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_12 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-5.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_12 X-Spam-Level: Source: base-installer Source-Version: 0.059 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of base-installer, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: base-installer_0.059.dsc to pool/main/b/base-installer/base-installer_0.059.dsc base-installer_0.059.tar.gz to pool/main/b/base-installer/base-installer_0.059.tar.gz base-installer_0.059_i386.udeb to pool/main/b/base-installer/base-installer_0.059_i386.udeb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
